AASTP

Welcome to "Tertulias Culturales", the Cox Mill High School Chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society! We are a group of dedicated students interested in the Spanish language, Spanish culture, and community service. The primary focus of our society is on service, directed both toward the Hispanic community and the community as a whole. As SNHS members, we have participated in community service opportunities with Parent University (Cabarrus County ESL program for parents), 'El Puente hispano', Concord Community Free Clinic; as well as we have done Christmas caroling and collaborated to bring educational material to some elementary school students in Spanish inmersion programs. Last year, we conducted a succesful drive to help a hispanic foundation in need (FundeVida in Colombia, South America).

Our Chapter of the Spanish National Honor Society, at Cox Mill High School, was founded in 2021, being Profesora Diana Ballesteros our sponsor. To be a member you must have taken Spanish III Honors, and fullfil some criteria.

For more information see the criteria section and/or visit room 2444.

The Spanish National Honor Society, or Sociedad Honoraria Hispánica, is sponsored by the American Association of Teachers of Spanish and Portuguese. To find out more about this nationwide organization, go to the AATSP.
