Class of 2027 Students & Families!
August 1, marks the official opening of Common App for the 2026–2027 application cycle.
What is Common App?
Common App is an online college application platform used by hundreds of colleges and universities across the country. Instead of completing a separate application for each participating college, students can complete one application and submit it to multiple schools.
⏰ No need to rush! Submitting your application on August 1 does not give you an advantage. Most Early Action and Early Decision deadlines are not until October or November, so take your time to complete your applications carefully and accurately.
Common App Information for Cox Mill High School Students:
When completing the Education section of the Common App, use the following information for Cox Mill High School:
- Graduating Class Size: 453
- GPA Scale: 5-point
- Class Rank Reporting: Exact Rank
- GPA Weighting: Weighted
- Class Rank Weighting: Weighted
- Course Scheduling System: Semester
In addition, NC College Connect is now available!
This program offers eligible North Carolina seniors the opportunity to receive direct admission offers from participating North Carolina colleges and universities.
NC College Connect Eligibility
- North Carolina public high school senior
- On track to graduate
- Weighted GPA of 2.8 or higher
- Enrolled in a fourth-level math course
- Meets program requirements
