The exam date for the school's ACT administration for the 2024-2025 school year is March 18, 2025.

What is a good test score?

It depends! What are your goals? Testing is just one component of the overall picture that colleges and employers are considering. Visit the specific programs that you are interested and find out their requirements for testing. 

Keep practicing. There are many test preparation websites and courses that you can take to be better prepared for formal assessments.  Please review the ACT Letter for more parent/student information regarding the ACT.

ACT Frequently Asked Questions

 

  • When will I get my scores back?   The ACT releases scores 5 - 8 weeks after the exam. 
    • Students with ACT online accounts will be emailed once their scores are available.  Those scores can be reviewed online.  Schools do not typically receive scores until 1 - 2 weeks AFTER students have received their scores.
    • ***Starting on April 10, when students sign into MY AP, they will see a pop-up window prompting them to choose a college, university, or scholarship organization to receive their AP scores        for free.***
  • Can I take the ACT at school? Cox Mill High School will administer the ACT to all 11th grade students once during the school year on a regular school day. 
  • Can I take other tests at school? Cox Mill High School only administers the ACT as a state exam to enrolled students.
  • What do I bring to the ACT on test day? Great question! Check out the list below of do's and don'ts!
    • PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ON TEST DAY:
      • Photo ID
      • Number 2 Pencil (No Mechanical Pencils)
    • PLEASE DO NOT BRING THE FOLLOWING ITEMS ON TEST DAY:
      • Cell Phones
      • Other Personal Electronic Devices, including Smartwatches, Fitbits, iPods, gaming devices, etc...

 

Info about the ACT at Cox Mill High School

  • The exam date for the school's ACT administration for the 2024-2025 school year is March 18, 2025.
  • The make-up date for this exam is TBD
  • The exam will start at the beginning of the day at 7:00AM.
  • Pre-Administration will be completed in small groups information will be communicated to you in your homerooms.
  • There is NO COST for the Junior students for the administration of the ACT exam for this exam session and no advance sign-up is required.
