Financial aid is money that is given or borrowed to help pay for college and can come from federal, state, local, school and private entities.  To apply for financial aid, start by completing the FAFSA - Free Application for Federal Student Aid. Students should complete this application with parents as early as possible through the studentaid.gov website ONLY.  This is a free government application.  Be sure to use the correct website and be cautious of scams or programs asking you for payment.
